Studer produced reel-to-reel tape recorders from 1949 to 1990, manufactured in Switzerland. These tape recorders targeted the studio and consumer market.
Studer tape recorders used solid state electronics. The company produced both 2 and 4 track machines.
Some of the most popular Studer reel-to-reel models include the A820, A812, and A80. These were professional-grade machines known for their durability and high-quality audio reproduction. The A820 was Studer's flagship model, featuring a multi-channel design and advanced recording and playback capabilities. The A812 and A80 were more compact and affordable options, designed for smaller recording studios and home use. Other notable Studer reel-to-reel models include the A810, A807.
